First Steps Towards Passing the GED® Test

First Steps Towards Passing the GED® Test

Want to pass the GED Test to earn your high school equivalency diploma? Start here:

  1. Create an account on the official GED Testing Service website, www.ged.com. This is where you'll take official practice tests, known as Ready Tests, and where you'll sign up for your exam.
  2. Test your reading comprehension by taking an official GED Ready Test from www.ged.com on one of the reading based subjects (science, social studies, or language arts). If you score 150+, sign up for that test.
  3. Start studying regularly! Aim for small, regular chunks of study.
    • For math, start with our first Personalized Path Learning Adventure, Crucial GED® Math Basics
    • If you score 144 or below in any of the reading based subjects, you need to work on reading comprehension. Our favorite free resource is www.readtheory.org
